Gino: Have you tried reinstalling the program? We are running 3 sets of SP on two Windows laptops (neither are new) with Windows 7 (and an old MAC) (we believe in backup!!) and experiencing few problems. We haven't had a crash during a show in a long, long while since version 4 came out. Some personal tips based on many gigs with SP: On lights: you must make sure to have your DMX lights and/or dimmer/relay packs powered up before you boot up the program. We also put in a small MIDI sequence/blank song (3 seconds long) at the head and end of each set that 'blacks out' all lights and clears out our MIDI devices (vocal harmonizers, pedals, etc.) During set breaks we exit the program and reboot it before the start of the next set---we've had some issues with our MOTU MIDI interface sometimes quitting by the 3rd set and found a 'set break reboot' prevents this. When adding new songs/tracks/MIDI sequences/events, anything to the doc folders, we erase the song database before booting up the program. Hope this helps...ROCK ON! |

Gino, I'm gigging regularly with my SPSC and honestly I love going upstairs to do some programming now - I set up my lights and MIDI guitar stuff, add a new song and really find putting a new light show a real delight, and there is always someone in the audience that comments on how good our show looks. I don't know where I would be without my SPSC. _________________ www.trilogyband.co.uk |
